Eero Varila

I have worked as a Fertility Specialist for over 30 years. I have also worked in international roles as an Expert and have been involved in establishing new Clinics both in Finland and abroad.

I have had the privilege of working at active and innovative clinics. I began my career at Tampere University Hospital. In Tampere, we also founded the AVA Clinic in 1993, which later expanded internationally. During my time there, we performed the first microinsemination procedures in Finland and the Nordic Countries. I also acted as the Medical Director at the Tampere Clinic of the Family Federation of Finland for several years.

The work of a Fertility doctor is extremely fascinating. Treatment methods are constantly evolving, combining medical, biological, and genetic expertise. It is incredibly rewarding when treatments succeed.

I have also specialized in the research and treatment of Recurrent Miscarriages. The common approach is often conservative, not fully understanding the emotional pain of repeated pregnancy loss. When the causes are carefully investigated, treatment options can be found.

Fertility treatments are complex and require specialized expertise, and it is wonderful that I have been able to assist so many people on this journey.
